Now this is my opinion, but I think there are two perfect reasons to pick up the good ol' yarn and needles. One, being winter time. Scarves, hats, blankets, mittens, etc. Fun stuff that you use and have fun making. I'm not that experienced yet with my knitting skills. Learning more as I go along but that is definately one of my favorite. My next favorite would have to be ..... BABIES. There's a ton of things you can make for those little bundles of joy. And given to the right person, things that will be treasured and cherished for a long time. I have a very dear friend of mine due with her second little bundle of joy in January. I've thought of a few things I'd like to do for her, being that it gives me a reason to knit mostly, and of course, because she loves the handmade gifts and since she is so awesome I know she'll keep them for a long time.
She found out today, that she is having another little girl :)
I am so excited for her, I know that's what she wanted, and I had one of those "feelings" anyway that she'd be expecting another princess. So, I started on a few things. I am going to make her a basketful of baby washcloths. Pretty pinks, and purples. Just the right size and I know she'll appreciate them. Here's the one I've started.
Another thing that I would really love to do, is delve into the art of soap making. Now I've never done it before, aside from the little kit you get as a kid, so this is going to be quite interesting for me. I've looked at quite a few website tutorials, and a few places for supplies, but I'm not sure exactly what I'm trying to do here. So it's going to take a bit more research on my part before I get started. I do know that she loves the organic homemade things more than store bought, as do I, and I am thinking, if it's possible, to make something that can combine oatmeal and lavender together. Anyway. Not sure what's going to happen with that, but I am so excited!!
I also found an AWESOME website for dischcloth patterns. It has almost everything imaginable, as far as letters, and numbers, all 50 states... Just interesting stuff. I found a pattern for a bigger dishcloth with the letter "R" on it, which is for the baby's first name. I thought along in the basket with the baby cloths, I would add the soaps and also make this cloth with her initial on it, just for something pretty. What do you think?

Pictures!
I am officially back and crafting now, more than ever. I have so much to talk about, but for now I am going to put some pictures of the wedding up for everyone to see, being that is all I blogged about since the beginning. I am so excited to share them with everyone, and can't wait to get started on the rest of my life!
I hope you enjoy the pictures, and I can't wait to get back to reading what everyone else has been up to as well! I do have tons more, but I am waiting on the photographer's pictures to post more!

Things here couldn't be going more smoothly. I have a wonderful new husband, a great family, and wonderful friends. I am excited for one of my next projects, my dearest friend is having a baby in January. I plan on making her some washcloths and homemade organic soaps for the bundle of joy. And of course, what pregnancy isn't complete without a baby blanket from someone?!
I hope you enjoy the pictures, and I can't wait to get back to reading what everyone else has been up to as well! I do have tons more, but I am waiting on the photographer's pictures to post more!
